Apple Picking

Yesterday we took our annual trip to Kuiper's Farm to do some apple picking. We left nice and early to get there right when it opened. We even got to park in the actual lot, which is a first for us. We went right to the line for apple picking and we were quickly on our tractor ride out to the apple trees.
Loving the tractor ride!

With the odd weather we had in March, the farm lost 40% of its apple crop this season. Luckily, we were able to pick two types of apples from the trees and there were bins full of the other two types of apples we could grab. Plenty for us to choose from! Gracie enjoyed munching on the apples and pulling them off of the trees.

After we filled our pecks of apples we headed into the store for their yummy apple cider donuts and homemade apple cider. We enjoyed our snack outside in the beautiful weather. Grace LOVED the apple cider. She is used to getting water downed juice so I am sure this was an absolute treat!

Before heading home we took Grace's picture in front of the apple ruler, just like last year. It's crazy how much our little girl has grown. Here are the comparison pictures.

Now we await our homemade apple pie that is cooking right now. We are all looking forward to dessert tonight!

20 weeks

Well I have officially hit the half way mark! This pregnancy is actually kind of flying by. I guess that will happen when you are working full time and taking care of a toddler. Today we had our 20 week check-up and ultrasound. This was the day where we could find out the gender, but we opted out. Everything from the ultrasound looks fabulous. In the words of our doctor, "The baby was very cooperative today." Which means the technician was able to zero in on all the babies organs to get a good look. We did get some news though...my due date was moved up two days to January 20th instead of what we were originally told January 22nd. The babies weight right now is in the 53% and with Grace at this point her weight was in the   28%. Bigger baby this time perhaps? I am feeling good for the most part...just tired and a little uncomfortable at times. I am definitely ready for this heat to be DONE! Being in a school with no air conditioning and 27 little bodies surrounding me does not make for a very comfortable atmosphere. I have been coming home absolutely exhausted, so here's to hoping tomorrow is the end of this horrible heat!

Get ready to smile

Just a little Daddy and Gracie bonding time. I am thinking they should take their talent to the road :)
