A trip to the Zoo!

For Christmas my parents got us a membership to Brookfield Zoo and today we were finally able to put it to use for the first time. My mom joined Grace and I for our first zoo adventure! It opened at 10 and we got there right when it opened. My mom and I both haven't been to the zoo in many many years, so today was kind of an exploration day. Gracie saw...leopards, lions, and tigers!

We also went to the underground water area and saw some seals...

And then it was to the Children's Petting Zoo area to see many more animals. Grace went up to the goats and touched them and she even got to brush their hair.

We also saw some cows, roosters, ducks, sheep and llamas!

Our last stop was to see the giraffes and zebra...

We did all that in about an hour and a half and then it was time to go. Grace is still a little under the weather so our zoo journey had to come to an end. That is the great thing about having a membership...you can come and go as you please without feeling like you wasted money. As we were leaving the zoo was getting packed...everyone else must have had the same idea as us today. I know we will be back to the zoo before we know it!
