A weekend trip to Danville

We haven't been to Danville since Christmas so we were due to make a visit and this past weekend we did just that. Bryan and I were a little nervous about the whole thing (we are first time parents you know!)...the 2.5 hour car ride...naps in a pack n' play and bedtime in a pack n' play...how would it all go?? Well Gracie did great! We timed it right by leaving before her naps, so she slept most of the way there and back. She also did fine with sleeping. The girl loves to do 360's in her crib all night so I think that frustrated her a bit with not having room in her pack n' play to do that. You might be asking why am I making such a big deal about this. Well this trip was a trial run in a way because at the end of July we are going on vacation to Wisconsin. This vacation is about a 5 hour car ride and multiple nights of Grace sleeping in her pack n' play, so in a way it puts our minds at ease. On Saturday night we had a cookout and Grace had many visitors; Uncle Mark, Aunt Jana, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Nick, and their dog Looper. This was Grace's first real interaction with a dog and she loved him so much!
I usually only see you in my books!

I wonder if momma and dada will get me one of these...

Looper was so good with Grace. He just kind of sniffed around and he would let Grace pet him. Whenever Looper would leave the room Grace would look all over for him. It really was so cute. My camera was on the wrong setting so the pictures are a little blurry, but they will do. On Sunday Looper came back for some more playtime and the Heckler family came over to meet Grace. On our way out of town we stopped over at Bryan's friend Pat's house. Pat and his son Max were able to meet Grace and have some playtime. We had a very busy weekend, but a really good visit with family and friends.
Looper let's play!

Can't get them to...

look at the same time!

Here Grace wear these!
