Christmas "Eve" Eve

Since my parents are hosting Christmas Eve this year we decided to open our gifts to each other last night. Christmas Eve is always a little chaotic (but in a good way) so this gave us the opportunity to have a good visit and not feel rushed to open gifts. Grace was in heaven...mainly because my mom put appetizers out at a height she could reach so Grace kept grabbing crackers, walking around, and then coming back to grab more crackers. Gracie is one very lucky girl! Her Nana and Papa and Uncles loves her so so much :) Grace got a shopping cart, foam puzzle mat for the basement play area, books, lots of clothes, puzzles, a stuffed dog named "Randy", a walking dog (yep she loves dogs!), and a 1 year membership to Brookfield Zoo...I think we are all the most excited for this! So far Grace isn't too interested in opening gifts. She is just so dainty that she doesn't want to rip the paper, but she does like to see what is revealed after the wrapping is off. After Grace's gifts my parents opened theirs (a Keurig along with all the essentials, Shutterfly scrapbook, and a homemade thumbprint ornament) and then we did a sibling (plus Bryan) grab bag. After opening gifts we enjoyed some Lou Malnatis Pizza. It was a great night and so nice to spend some quality time with my family.
