Apple Picking!

We had beautiful weather yesterday for our annual trip to Kuiper's Farm to do some apple picking. The kids both had a blast. I think just riding in the wagon together was a highlight for both of them.

We got in line right away for the apple picking and surprisingly we didn't have to wait long at all. Soon we were off on our tractor ride!

For the first time ever we were able to pick Honeycrisp apples! As you know they are a hot item in the stores and not only that, but they are expensive. We were able to pick some others as well and made sure to get some perfect apples for baking. Of course we all enjoyed some taste testing along the way. Jake didn't let go of his apple the entire time, so he was happy as a clam. We ended our time with a trip to the bakery for some apple cider doughnuts. Grace was able to get a free one from completing the library reading program this summer, so she enjoyed hers with some apple cider while Jake ate his lunch. What a great Saturday together as a family!
